Becker Family Funerals is a family-owned funeral home proudly serving Taree and surrounding communities since 2000. Founded by Chris and Debbie Becker, we make it our goal to support families through every stage of arranging a farewell.
Our mission is to provide personal guidance and practical support, helping families plan services that can reflect personal wishes, cultural traditions, or religious beliefs. Compassion sits at the heart of everything we do. We value personalisation and understand that no two farewells are the same. Our team takes the time to listen, offering flexible options and thoughtful care along the way.

Chris & Debbie Becker
Chris has been in the Funeral Industry for 30 years now. Deb has been beside him every step of the way for 24 years since Becker Family Funerals was first established in 2000.
With the much appreciated help and guidance from Chris’ parents Rita and Don, brother Steve and his wife Bron many years of hard work and dedication were put in to create a solid foundation within the community that reflects the core family morals that makes Becker’s a truly warming and comforting family run Funeral Home.
Not only did Chris and Deb get Becker’s off the ground they did it while raising five beautiful children, most of which have been involved in the family business throughout the years. Chris and Deb’s dedication to the Funeral Industry has created not only a beautiful environment for us all to work within but also inspired us to meet the high standards they have set for us.
Olivia is Chris and Deb's eldest daughter. The Funeral Home has always been a part of Liv’s life so it was a natural progression for her to move into her role at Becker’s. Liv has a quiet, gentle nature & takes great care with our families at both the Funeral Home & at our Funeral Services.
Dan is a local Biripi man and is an extremely valuable addition, both to the family and the business. Dan naturally moved into the Funeral industry as if it was always in his nature to take on this role. His priorities are his wife, family & work and he delivers in these areas without compromise. We are very proud of Dan in this respect.
Together, they’re raising their three children and are deeply committed to both family and community.
Liv and Dan are proud to carry on the family business, staying true to the values and high standards that Chris and Deb built over the years. They remain committed to preserving the legacy while continuing to grow with the same dedication, integrity, and passion that have defined the business from the beginning.

Helen has been an integral part of the Becker family team for several years now. She is incredibly efficient and plays a key role in ensuring that everything behind the scenes runs smoothly and seamlessly.
Helen is kind, caring, and always willing to go the extra mile. She has consistently gone above and beyond for the families we care for, offering quiet support and thoughtful attention to detail. Her dedication to the people we serve is tireless, and we know she’ll continue to bring that same warmth and commitment for many years to come.
Ell joined us in November 2022 and has become a valued member of our team. She brings extensive local knowledge and compassion to help support our families through some of their most difficult moments.
Ell has a natural ability to connect with people, ensuring that every family feels supported, respected, and well cared for throughout their time with us.

Jessica Farnsworth “Jess”
Jess started off behind the scenes as one of our booklet designers and printers. From there, she stepped into the role of our Prepaid Specialist.
We quickly realised that Jess’s calm and caring nature was exactly what our team, and the families we serve, needed. We seized the opportunity and Jess is now a full-time Arranger and Funeral Director, supporting families through every step of the funeral process. Her gentle presence, eye for detail, and genuine compassion make her an invaluable part of the Becker’s team.
Rob is one of the newest members of our team. He brings a vibrant, warm, and sympathetic nature to his role. Rob treats every family with the same level of compassion, respect, and attention that reflects the values we hold dearly at Becker’s. His presence has been a welcome addition, and we’re grateful to have him as part of the team.
